     Lawrence Blanchard was born circa 1816 in France.1 He married Marguerite Duplain.
     Lawrence Blanchard was also known as Lorenzo Blancherd. Lawrence Blanchard was also known as Lawrence Blanchat. He and Louis Jeanin-Gaume appeared as neighbors on the census of 1860 in Black Creek, Holmes County, Ohio.2 He and Marguerite Duplain appeared on the census of 1860 in Black Creek.2 He was arrested as a ringleader in the Holmes County Rebellion, an anti-draft uprising (see Holmes County Rebellion) in June, 1863 in Napoleon, Holmes County, Ohio.
