Thomas Union Dobbs was born on October 13, 1843 in Georgia.2 He was the son of Fortunatus N. Dobbs and Margaret A. Wallace.1 He married Mary Wesson about 1868.2 He died on April 18, 1937 in Georgia at age 93.2

He May have served in company F, 23d regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Dobbs, Thomas- private August 31, 1861 . Wounded in right arm, necessitating amputation, at Sharpsburg, Md. September 17, 1862. Absent, wounded, close of war. (See also Thomas J. Dobbs, Thomas Dobbs and Thomas Dobbs).3
