Nathaniel Dobbs was born in 1754 in Henry County, Virginia.1 He married Frances Yancey, daughter of William Yancey and Sophia Davis, about 1790.2 He died in January, 1856 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.2

He was found on revolutionary war pensioners list in 1840 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.3 The following individual(s) have been indentified as possible off-spring of Nathaniel Dobbs: Fortunatus N. Dobbs.4 He and John Dobbs may have been related.5 He and Fortune Dobbs may have been related.
