Greenberry Dobbs was born about 1811 in North Carolina.1 He was the son of Lott Dobbs.1 He married Martha "Patsy" Goodson on March 10, 1831 in Georgia.1,2 He died before 1850 in Georgia.

Greenberry Dobbs was also known as Green B. Dobbs. Greenberry (Green B.) Dobbs was found in the 1840 census for Habersham county. His family was found, after his death, in the 1850 census in Sansford, Lumpkin County. His son, William Calvin Dobbs, was found in the 1860 and 1870 census for Sansford, Dawson County. Lumpkin county was formed from part of Habersham county in 1832 and in 1857 Dawson county was formed from part of Lumpkin county. He may have some relationship or connection with Hezekiah Dobbs of Habersham County, Georgia.
