Jesse Dobbs was born in 1779 in South Carolina.2 He was the son of Lodowick Dobbs and Sarah Adams.1 He married Polly. He died after 1850.

He was named an heir in the will of Lodowick Dobbs dated May 13, 1814 in Pendleton District (Anderson Co.), South Carolina.3 He may have some relationship or connection with Martin Dobbs of Cobb County, Georgia.
