Joseph DeBacker was born on October 7, 1902 in St Marys, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. He was the son of August Vital Francois Joseph DeBacker and Della Gaume. He was baptized on October 12, 1902 in Immaculate Conception Church, St Marys, Pottawatomie County, Kansas.1 He married Pearl Adelgunda Pfeiffer. He died in June, 1967 in Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri, at age 64.2

Joseph DeBacker appeared on the census of 1910 in the household of August Vital Francois Joseph DeBacker and Della DeBacker in St Marys.3 He appeared in a group photo with others about 1919 in St Marys, Kansas. See exhibit. He was a florist in Sedalia, Missouri, about 1930. He and Pearl Adelgunda Pfeiffer appeared on the census of 1930 in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri.4 He was a Florist in Warrensburg, Missouri. He appeared in a group photo with others about 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska. See exhibit.
