Her married name was Rebillot. She resided in Louisville in 1891.2 Obituary Of Josephine Gaume: "Mrs. Josephine Gaume Rebillot fell asleep in death, on Saturday, at midnight at her home, a short distance south of Louisville. She had been sick less than a week and her death was caused by pneumonia. On theSunday prior to her passing away she attended services at St. LouisCatholic church, where she had been a faithful worshipper for a number of years. Mrs. Rebillot was the daughter of Frank and Eliza Gaume and was born on the farm now owned by Leonard Keubel; located south of Louisville, Frebruary 24, 1836, making her age nearly 67 years. On January 15th, 1856, she was united in marriage to Paul Rebillot, who died December 15, 1902. The death of her companion for so many years weighed heavily upon her and no doubt hastened the end. Nine children areliving. They are Messrs. Frank, Louis, Eugene and Miss Tillie Rebillot,and Mrs. Paul Grisez, of Louisville; Joseph Rebillot and Mrs. John Bonnot of Canton, and Mrs. Edward Grisez of Alliance. Miss Mary Rebillot, who was adopted into the family some years ago, is also living. In addition to these there are twenty-four grandchildren. Two brothers, Frank Gaume,of St. Marys, Kansas, and Louis Gaume of Sacramento, California, and four sisters, Mrs. Stephen Saunier, of St. Marys, Kansas; Mrs. Constance Sonier, of Pueblo, California (Colorado?), and Mrs. August Cheveraux and Mrs. Louis S. Menegay, of Louisville, are living. Mrs. Rebillot was devoted to her home and the members of her family and was gratified in seeing her children grow into noble manhood and womanhood. Solemn high mass was read at St. Louis Catholic church,Wednesday morning. Rev. Father Cheveraux, of Norwalk, officiated as celebrant; Rev. Father Treiber, of Canton, as Sr. Deacon; Rev. Father Schoenamann, of Canton, as Jr. Deacon; Rev. Father Senner, of Louisville,as Master of Ceremonies. Rev. Father Cheveraux, who has been a life-long friend of the family, delivered a fitting sermon. The remains were followed by a large concourse of friends to the Catholic cemetery where interment was made." ; Louisville Herald, February 5, 1903.
