He published "An Enquiry into the Actual State of our Knowledge of Cholera," Dublin, 1849, 16mo; "The Existing State of our Knowledge of Vaccination," London, 1850, 8vo; "Irish Watering Places," Dublin, 1845, 8vo; and "A History of the County Down," Dublin, 1875, 8vo. He died at Beechcroft, Belfast, on the 9th November 1877."
