She and Annie Von Schele Hahr, Emma Charlotte Hahr and Selma Hahr were siblings.1 She was a niece of Professor W.W. Legare.1 From the Marietta (GA) Daily Journal, 10 February 1947: Mrs. E.P. Dobbs Dies in New York, Burial Set Here - Mrs. E.P. (Dick) Dobbs, 79, wife of the late Marietta mayor and realestate dealer, died Sunday while visiting the home of her daughter, Mrs.G.G. Nichols, of Bronxville, New York. Prior to her husband's death in1942, Mrs. Dobbs was active in church, literary and social circles ofMarietta. She was an active member of Marietta Women's Club, the DAR,the Colonial Dames and the First Presbyterian Church. "Ellwood," the Dobbs' McDonald street home, was widely known in Marietta for the open doors extended to visitors and friends who knew Mrs. Dobbs during her many years in Marietta. Mrs. Dobbs was the former Margaret Hahr. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. George G. Nichols, Bronxville, NY; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph S. Stewart and Mrs. H. Clifton Dobbs, both ofAtlanta; a brother, W.H. Hahr, Miami, Fla; and three grand- children, Mrs. Margaret Nichols Alport, Miss Christine Nichols and George Nichols Jr., all of Bronxville. Mrs. Dobbs will be buried in the Episcopal cemetery here. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Mayes Ward Funeral Home. Stewart and family, Mrs. H. Clifton Dobbs and family, Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Hahr, Miami, Fla; George G. Nichols, Jr; Miss Christine Nichols and Mr.and Mrs. Peter Allport, Bronxville, NY, are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. E.P. Dobbs this (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Marietta First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Harry K. Holland officiating. Interment in the Episcopal Cemetery. The following gentlemen are requested to serve as pallbearers and will please meet at the Mayes Ward Funeral Home at 1:45 p.m.: Messrs. Stanton Read, Harold Willingham, Willis Milner III, Sexias Milner, Jordan Gardner and Joe Barnett. Please omit flowers. Mayes Ward & Co.2
