Emily Ann Prothro was born about 1808 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of William Prothro and Esther Hickson.1,2,3 She married William Prothro, son of Nathaniel Prothro and Zilphia Morgan, about 1830 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. She died in 1853 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana.2

Also died same place same day, their eldest son, Furman, about 19 years of age; and on the 21st of same month, William, the youngest son, aged 6 years. Mrs. Prothro was born and prior to her removal to Louisiana in 1841, resided in SC; a member of Marion Baptist Church.
